Here's Lookin' at You

After I had started the first study, my wife mentioned how a friend of hers was always upset that artists never drew Japanese eyes right. She asked him why and he replied, "All they ever do is make them almond shaped. That's not a Japanese eye."

"What makes it Japanese, then?"

He pointed to the sort of bag beneath his eye and said, "This. This is what makes an eye Japanese."

With that in mind I decided to begin my study of ethnicity and how different people's have different eyes that are unique. So of course after a comment like that, I had to start with the Japanese.
